All our Appalachian communities face significant philanthropy gaps.

Without local philanthropy, our young people are less likely to receive scholarships, our nonprofits have fewer opportunities for grants and our communities struggle to plan and advance new opportunities.

We partner with 14 geographic affiliate foundations and the regionwide African American Community Fund, all led by local visionaries who are growing philanthropic resources that seize their communities’ most promising opportunities, fill their greatest needs and ensure that our people flourish.

Pictured (from left) are Osteopathic Heritage Foundation President/CEO Terri Donlin Huesman, Nelsonville Community Foundation committee members Betty Jo Parsley and Bill L’Heureux, and Emily Vigue, director of outreach at FAO.

On behalf of every one of our neighbors, present and future, who will benefit from this transformative gift, we extend our deepest appreciation to the Osteopathic Heritage Foundation. Its commitment to our communities is opening doors to opportunities that advance the health and well-being of all who call our communities home.
