Nelsonville, OH – The Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO) I’m a Child of Appalachia® Fund is partnering with local community funds to offer numerous grant opportunities this fall.
Beginning Sept. 7, grants are available in Gallia, Guernsey, Harrison, Highland, Hocking, Jackson, Meigs, Monroe, and Morgan counties, as well the City of Nelsonville and its surrounding communities. A partnership with the African American Community Fund is offering grants to Black-led and organizations serving African American communities in any of Appalachian Ohio’s 32 counties.
The 12 community funds and the I’m a Child of Appalachia® Fund are working to meet pressing needs and pursue exciting opportunities for Appalachian Ohio’s people and communities. The Funds work across FAO’s five areas essential to generating and sustaining transformative change, known as the Pillars of Prosperity: Arts & Culture, Community & Economic Development, Education, Environmental Stewardship, and Health & Human Services.
Applications are being accepted from local nonprofit and public organizations seeking funding for a project or program that increases quality of life, creates access to opportunities, or implements a solution to a need.
Applications will be accepted from Sept. 7 through Oct. 12, 2021.
