Harrison County Community Foundation Announces Grant Opportunity

Tax-Exempt Organizations Serving Harrison County Are Eligible to Apply

Cadiz, OH – The Harrison County Community Foundation (HCCF) is pleased to announce its first call for mini-grant proposals. Tax-exempt organizations with projects that create access to opportunities or implement a solution for a community need in Harrison County are eligible to apply.

“The Harrison County Community Foundation is excited to offer this mini-grant opportunity for organizations throughout our county,” said Allison Anderson, a committee member with the Harrison County Community Foundation. “We are so eager to see what the organizations in our local communities propose for us to help them serve Harrison citizens. HCCF was created to provide permanent resources to benefit our citizens and communities and this is one way we can make that happen.”

Applications are being accepted March 14, 2016 through April 15, 2016. All award recipients will be notified directly, no later than May 1, 2016. For this round of grants, mini-grants ranging in size from $250 to $500 will be awarded. At this time, HCCF does not accept applications for any event sponsorships or sports-related requests.

In order to receive full consideration for funding, grant requests must include a completed application and a 501(c)(3) IRS determination letter. All grantees will be required to submit a final report at the conclusion of the project. All applications must be postmarked no later than April 15, 2016 and mailed to the Harrison County Community Foundation, PO Box 456, Nelsonville, Ohio 45764.

The Harrison County Community Foundation was established in 2012 to ensure permanent support for the citizens and communities of Harrison County. A member of the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio’s Family of Funds, HCCF works with the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio to create opportunities for Harrison County residents and citizens throughout Appalachian Ohio by inspiring and supporting philanthropy.
