Byesville Rotary Fund

Donations to the Byesville Rotary Fund help support student scholarships and the Byesville Rotary Annual Christmas Food Basket Program.

Scholarships

Byesville Rotary provides four scholarships to graduating high school students.

  • Three scholarships are awarded to students attending Meadowbrook High School.
  • A fourth scholarship is awarded to a Meadowbrook student attending Mid East Technical and Career Center Buffalo Campus
  • Scholarships are $1,000 each.

The goal of Byesville Rotary in building this foundation is to:

  • Increase the number of scholarships awarded each year, or
  • Increase the monetary value awarded in each scholarship.

In 202l, Byesville Rotary increased the value of the scholarships presented from $500 per scholarship to $1,000 per scholarship.

Byesville Rotary holds an annual golf scramble to raise money to support its scholarship foundation. You can help our local students achieve their dreams by donating to the Byesville Rotary Fund at any time during the year. Donations are tax free.

Byesville Rotary Annual Christmas Food Basket Program

Byesville Rotary provides Christmas food baskets to 150-200 families in the Rolling Hills School District annually.

  • We touch the lives of 600-800 people each year.
  • The club provides two boxes of food to ensure each family has enough food to provide a Christmas dinner and several good meals to start the new year.
  • One box of food contains perishables, including a turkey or turkey breast, a gallon of milk, one dozen eggs, one loaf of bread, a bag of apples or oranges, and one pound of oleo.
  • A second box contains nonperishables such as canned fruits and vegetables, canned and dry soups, noodles, chicken broth, cereal, peanut butter, and macaroni and cheese.

The club holds two “Stuff Santa’s Stocking” fundraisers, one in September and one in October. However, the need for funds never ends. In addition to its Christmas Food Basket Program, Byesville Rotary also fights hunger in Guernsey County by donating to the Main Street Methodist Food Pantry and to the Salvation Army Summer Lunch Program for school-aged children.

Your help is needed more today than ever, as families are facing increased costs for food and other essential items. Your support will make a huge difference in the lives of children and families in our community.

One box of perishable items and one box of non-perishable items currently costs $40.

The members of the Byesville Rotary thank you for your support!
