Michael C. Long
Mike Long, who grew up in Quaker City, was named “Most Likely to Succeed” in his 1966 Zane Trace yearbook. While in college at The Ohio State University, Mike worked summers at Valadium.
He received his bachelor’s degree in 1971 and his master’s degree in metallurgical engineering in 1973, both from OSU. Following graduation, Mike spent his career in the automotive industry in Michigan.
His true passions were coaching Little League, playing golf, traveling with family and friends, and cheering on the OSU Buckeyes.
Mike’s wife, Joanelle, and family created this scholarship fund to honor future Buckeye Trail students from Quaker City. The scholarship targets college-bound students planning to attend OSU to major in engineering.
