Funding available for projects advancing economic development, growth in Monroe County
WOODSFIELD, Ohio – The John and Lois Baker Education and Economic Development Fund, serving Monroe County, is accepting grant applications for its 2024 funding cycle.
Funding is available for nonprofits, schools and public organizations serving the people and communities of Monroe County. Emphasis is on supporting individuals of all ages who are spearheading projects and programs that advance economic development and growth in Monroe County.
Grant applications open on Tuesday, May 21, and must be submitted online by Tuesday, July 2. Funding requests should be between $500 and $5,000, but larger requests may be considered based on potential impact.

John and Lois Baker established the Baker Education and Economic Development Fund in 2007 to support the needs and opportunities of Monroe County, including those that increase quality of life, create access to opportunities and/or implement a solution to a community need. This grant round, the fund’s committee has elected to focus on projects that support economic development and growth in Monroe County. The fund joined FAO in 2020 and is part of the Monroe County Community Foundation’s family of funds.
