Deadline to Apply Is May 1
Corning, OH – The Southern Perry County Academic Endowment Fund (SPCAEF) is pleased to once again open its annual scholarship application to students throughout Southern Perry County. Additional information as well as this year’s scholarship applications can be found on the Fund’s webpage, www.AppalachianOhio.org/SouthernPerry. Applications open April 1 and must be postmarked by Wednesday, May 1, 2019.
“The students in the Southern Local School District are incredibly talented and bright in so many unique ways, and we are so lucky to have a community that comes together to support the success of our students and advance their education,” said Angela Plant, president of the Southern Perry County Academic Endowment Fund board. “By supporting the Southern Perry County Academic Endowment Fund, donors in our area create a transformative impact for so many youth people and build new opportunities that would not otherwise be possible.”
The SPCAEF’s Family of Funds is composed of 22 donor-established funds offering a variety of scholarships to support students in different areas of study who graduated from the Southern Local School District.

SPCAEF was created in 1987 to create resources to promote academic experiences for residents of the Southern Local School district. A member of the Community Foundation for Perry County’s Family of Funds, SPCAEF partners with the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO) to provide scholarships as well as community mini-grants to promote academic excellence and enrichment opportunities for Southern Local School District residents.
