Harrison County Community Foundation Holds Valentine’s Day Event Announcing Puzzle for Prosperity Campaign

Cadiz, OHOn Valentine’s Day, the Harrison County Community Foundation (HCCF) brought together people passionate about Harrison County to learn more about what HCCF has made and will make possible for its citizens. Attendees, while enjoying dinner and an evening of music and dancing, were introduced to a new campaign for Harrison County, the Puzzle for Prosperity.Harrison County logo 1a

Through Puzzle for Prosperity campaign, the Harrison County Community Foundation will build an endowment of $1 million to support $50,000 in annual grantmaking for Harrison County’s citizens and communities for generations to come. Currently, the Harrison County Community Foundation grants about $1,000 annually; investments through the Puzzle for Prosperity campaign will increase those annual investments fifty-fold.

“Through the Puzzle for Prosperity campaign, we will put together the resources necessary to address Harrison County’s most pressing needs and pursue its most exciting opportunities,” said Lori Milleson, an HCCF committee member. “When we all give a gift, we become a piece of the bigger puzzle and we will have $1 million in permanent endowment to benefit Harrison County, its nonprofits, schools, and citizens.”

Attendees at the Share Your Love for Harrison County event also heard from recent grantees in Harrison County, including those benefitting the Harrison Hills City School District through the Husky Education Fund. Bob Smith, a native son of Harrison County and an investment management expert with over 40 years of experience in investing, finance, accounting, and business management, served as the guest speaker for the evening’s event.
