Spring Grants to be Focused on Education

Nelsonville, OH – The Gulfport Energy Fund at the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO) is pleased to announce its first grant round of 2016 will open in February and will support organizations and projects focused on education. Nonprofit and public organizations in Belmont, Guernsey, Harrison, Jefferson, Monroe, and Noble counties are eligible to apply when the grant applications opens on Monday, February 22.

The first of two grant rounds this year, this will be the first opportunity for Jefferson and Noble counties to apply for funding since Gulfport recently announced an expansion of the Fund’s service area. Applications will be available on the Foundation’s website at www.AppalachianOhio.org/Gulfport. Additional application information will be released prior to the opening of the grant round and application.

The Gulfport Energy Fund at FAO was created to support nonprofits, schools, and communities in projects that increase quality of life, create access to opportunities, or identify and implement a solution for a community need in the counties where Gulfport Energy operates.
