2026 scholarship application
Applications are being accepted Monday, Jan. 5, through Sunday, Feb. 15.
This scholarship is included in FAO’s general scholarship application, allowing applicants to apply for nearly 30 scholarship opportunities through one application.
Scholarship applications must be submitted online through the Foundation Cloud Community Portal. If you are a first-time scholarship applicant, you will need to register and create an account in the Portal. If you are a returning applicant, you may use your existing account.

About Loran and Shirley Stutz
Loran and Shirley Stutz established this scholarship for students residing in the East Guernsey Local School District, where their children attended school.
Their children's education in East Guernsey County schools laid the foundation for successful lives after graduation. In gratitude, Loran and Shirley would like to help East Guernsey students in their next steps in education.
Eligibility Requirements and Criteria
- Be a graduating senior residing in the East Guernsey Local School District (Students attending public, private, vocational or parochial schools, as well as homeschooled students, are eligible to apply as long as they reside in the East Guernsey Local School District.)
- Have a 2.5 GPA or higher
- Be pursuing postsecondary education at an accredited two- or four-year college or university or career/technical school
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic through outstanding character, academic excellence, extracurricular activities or work experience
Two scholarships will be awarded each year, with priority consideration given to a student attending a career/technical center for one award and to a student attending a two- or four-year postsecondary institution for the other.

Application Period
Scholarship applications are accepted annually in January and February.
