2026 scholarship application

Applications are being accepted Monday, Jan. 5, through Sunday, Feb. 15.

This scholarship is included in FAO’s general scholarship application, allowing applicants to apply for nearly 30 scholarship opportunities through one application.

Scholarship applications must be submitted online through the Foundation Cloud Community Portal. If you are a first-time scholarship applicant, you will need to register and create an account in the Portal. If you are a returning applicant, you may use your existing account.

About Jeff and Jane Schumacher Cox

Jeff Cox is a 1979 graduate of Buckeye Trail High School and a 1983 graduate of The Ohio State University. He completed his MBA in finance from Wright State University in 1986. Jeff is employed as a financial advisor with Edward Jones Co.

Jane Schumacher Cox is a 1981 graduate of Woodsfield High School and a 1985 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Nursing.

Both Jeff and Jane have fond memories of their educations and extracurricular activities at their respective schools. Through this scholarship fund, they hope to help others pursue their dreams of higher education.

Eligibility Requirements and Criteria
  • Applicants must be graduating seniors currently attending Buckeye Trail High School or Monroe Central High School.
  • Applicants must be pursuing postsecondary education at an accredited two- or four-year college or university or career/technical center.
  • Candidates should demonstrate outstanding character, academic excellence, involvement with extracurricular activities or work experience.

Application Period

Applications are accepted annually in January and February.
