2026 scholarship application
Applications are being accepted Monday, Jan. 5, through Saturday, Feb. 14.
This scholarship fund is part of the Monroe County Community Foundation’s family of funds and uses a common application to apply for several scholarship opportunities through one application.
Completed applications and all supporting materials must be emailed to Scholarships@ffao.org or mailed (with postmark by Feb. 14, 2026) to Foundation for Appalachian Ohio, 35 Public Square, Nelsonville, OH 45764.
Criteria:
- Must be graduating, have a GED or be a past graduate of Monroe Central High School or Swiss Hills Career Center
- Must be attending an accredited postsecondary institution providing trade/vocational training and certification, associate or bachelor’s degree
- Must be pursuing education/training/certification in firefighting/EMT/EMS (given first priority) or a degree or certificate within the medical field
