AK Steel Foundation
Headquartered in West Chester, Ohio (Greater Cincinnati area), AK Steel produces flat-rolled carbon, stainless and electrical steels, primarily for automotive, infrastructure and manufacturing, construction, and electrical power generation and distribution markets.
Eligibility Requirements and Criteria
- Must be a student within the 32 counties of Appalachian Ohio pursuing studies in science, technology, engineering or mathematics
- Priority will be given to those with a specific focus of metallurgy
- Overall academic achievement, with a particular emphasis on high achievement and career interest in STEM fields, as well as a future commitment to work in Ohio
- Demonstrated financial need
- Available to both traditional and nontraditional students
Application Period
Applications are accepted annually in January and February.
