Woodsfield, OHThe Monroe County Community Fund (MCCF), in partnership with the Appalachian Ohio Emergency Response Fund, announced over $3,500 in grant awards to support the arts, the ongoing response to COVID-19, and basic needs in Monroe County.

“We are very thankful to be able to support the work of our community’s nonprofits during these troubling times, and we are grateful for the partnership of the Appalachian Ohio Emergency Response Fund,” said Gwynn Stewart, a committee member for the Monroe County Community Foundation. “We encourage those who hold Monroe County close to their hearts to consider a gift to the Monroe County Community Foundation, so that we might make an even greater impact in the years ahead.”

National Church Residencies, LLC received funding from the Appalachian Ohio Emergency Response Fund to purchase face masks for children in Monroe County. The project will support families in accessing face masks to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
