iBELIEVE in Student Leadership Fund

iBELIEVE-Logo-Small

The iBELIEVE in Student Leadership Fund was established to provide leadership, communication, and problem solving skills to Appalachian youth and young adults along with other in-need individuals so that they could become successful future leaders in their schools and most importantly their communities.

The iBELIEVE in Student Leadership Fund supports Appalachian youth in developing critical leadership, communication and problem solving skills. The Fund is currently focused on providing scholarship support to enable high school student participation in the Ohio Association of Student Councils (OASC) summer leadership camp. Participating in this camp can be life-changing and enables students to gain the necessary soft skills and leadership training critical to current and future success.

“When I first started my journey with the iBELIEVE OASC camp I was nervous and excited. I had been to other leadership conferences, but OASC is above all the rest. Not only did it give me skills on being an excellent leader in a fun way, it helped you come to an understanding of who you truly are. I met so many great people and made many lifelong friends. OASC provided me with so many memories that I will cherish forever. If I could relive those five days, there’s no doubt in my mind that I would do it again. I would recommend this program to anybody who’s interested. It was hands down the highlight of my summer. Hopefully I have more great experiences with OASC. It’s a pro- gram where you can cut yourself off from everyday problems, relax and be yourself. The quote “This is my now, and I am breathing in the moment; As I look around; I can’t believe all the love I see.” is what I heard every day and I couldn’t agree more. That quote fit my OASC experience to a T.” – Rachel Payne, Meigs HS (Meigs County) – Class of 2013

You can make an online donation through Network for Good, or mail a check to the Foundation at PO Box 456 | Nelsonville, Ohio 45764 and designate the iBELIEVE Fund. For just $250 dollars, you can send one student to the OASC summer leadership camp. Your support will enable students to gain a strong foundation of core leadership skills to implement in their schools, promoting and encouraging success and post-secondary pursuits.

“I am forever grateful to the iBELIEVE Foundation. The opportunities they have given me in the short time I have been a part of this group is amazing. Going to OASC summer workshop has changed my life greatly. Within five minutes of being home my family noticed how happy I was and what a better person I had become in the short amount of time. OASC has changed my life… I learned so many things about myself, I would have never known without the activities and tasks we performed at summer workshop. I created friendships and life-long bonds to the people there… [iBELIEVE] gave me the opportunity and support to go to camp and the continued support I get to this day to achieve my goals. Giving me a new mindset; anything is possible.” – Alicia Carter, Nelsonville-York HS (Athens County) – Class of 2013
