Lewisville & Community Volunteer Fire Department Fund
In an effort to provide long-term funding for their fire department in Monroe County, the Lewisville Volunteer Fire Department has created the Lewisville & Community Volunteer Fire Department Fund as a part of the Monroe County Community Family of Funds.
Because the fire department is essential to Lewisville and the surrounding community’s well-being, the Fund was created to provide a source for community members to rally their support and grow the sustainable funding needed to continue and expand the fire department’s services and programs with a focus on responding to all types of emergency situations, including but not limited to: structure fires, automobile accidents and landing zones for medical helicopters. The department’s main objective is the safety of residents and to protect life and property in emergency situations.
The Monroe County Community Foundation and its Family of Funds were created to ensure Monroe County resources benefit its citizens and communities forever. Gifts to the Monroe County Community Foundation (MCCF) are not spent, but invested. This way, the interest and earnings from gifts will support community efforts through grants for years to come. Through MCCF, the community has a place to come together and grow a powerful asset for the county and its residents for many future generations and assist in efforts to support vital resources, like volunteer fire departments.
