An annual distribution from the fund, directed toward library services by the library director, can be used in creative and innovative ways to serve the community, within the library walls, and in outreach programs. There are no restrictions in the use of the funds beyond those library activities considered “services,” including any programming that encourages reading, education skill development, cultural appreciation, and personal and community growth.

Gifts to the Sylvester Memorial Library Fund are tax-deductible and can be made in many ways, including cash, bequests, stock, real estate, royalties, insurance beneficiaries and qualified charitable distributions from IRAs.
