About Stuart’s Opera House and the Endowment Fund
Stuart’s Opera House is the cornerstone of the historic Public Square in Nelsonville, Ohio. It is dedicated to its role as a regional leader in the arts community, a center for public expression and an economic development partner for Southeastern Ohio.
To support its role far into the future, Stuart’s Opera House established the Stuart’s Opera House Endowment Fund. Through this organizational endowment fund, Stuart’s can set aside funds for specific programming, secure against unforeseen hurdles and plan their growth sustainably — all while protecting their longevity and legacy in Appalachian Ohio for generations.
“Legacy is at the heart of our organization,” says Tim Peacock, executive director of Stuart’s Opera House. “As a cultural anchor and a center of expression on Nelsonville’s Public Square for generations, this fund will continue to demonstrate our long-term commitment to continuing arts programming in our region.”
For the past many years, Stuart’s Opera House has seen growth, prosperity, culture and fun. In addition to a full concert schedule of the best in Americana, folk, and contemporary music, Stuart’s proudly hosts both community and professional theatrical productions, dance, and visual art exhibits.
