About Frederick "Rick" M. Ervin III
Vera Gable of Hocking County created two funds at the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio in memory of her son, Frederick “Rick” M. Ervin III – one benefiting the region, the other benefiting Hocking County.
Rick grew up in Logan, Ohio, and developed a passion for television – specifically television engineering – as a preschooler. He pursued this passion throughout his youth, education and career. Amassing a resume across the United States, Rick’s final role was as chief engineer for Sinclair Broadcast Group’s Columbus ABC 6 and Fox 28. These memorial funds honor Rick’s professionalism, dedication to his craft and consideration for others.
