Spring scholarship applications open Feb. 1

JACKSON, Ohio – Two students have been awarded fall 2025 scholarships from the Bellisio Foods Scholarship Fund at the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO).

The Bellisio Foods Scholarship Fund, founded in 2007 under Bellisio Foods, has continued to be fostered by CPF/NA since acquiring the company in 2016, reinforcing one of its key values: growth through education. The fund awards postsecondary scholarships to children and grandchildren of CPF/NA employees at the company’s locations in Ohio, Minnesota, California and Canada. Scholarship recipients are selected based on character, community service, financial need, and academic performance and potential.

The fall 2025 scholarship recipients are:

  • Carlos Prado Machuca of Inglewood, Calif., who is studying nursing at Angeles College and is the son of Silvia Machuca
  • Kaylin Sheppard of Jackson, an anticipated 2026 graduate of Jackson High School, who plans to study education at Cedarville University and is the granddaughter of Michael Sheppard

The Bellisio Foods Scholarship is open twice a year for students to apply. Spring 2026 applications will be accepted Feb. 1 through March 15 at https://appalachianohio.org/scholarship/bellisio-foods-scholarship/.
