Chiefs Fan Clayton Funk Donates Super Bowl Package to Joe Burrow Hunger Relief Fund
An avid Chiefs fan, Kansas City resident Clayton Funk happily purchased a ticket package for the 56th Super Bowl during halftime of the AFC Championship game. Little did he know, Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals were not giving up without a fight, and fight they did as they went on to win the game in overtime – Who Dey!!!
Clayton was left with not only a disappointing loss, but three front row, end zone tickets to the Big Game, along with passes to a Champions Pre-Party, three-night stay in a two bedroom suite at the W Los Angeles–West Beverly Hills and game day transportation.
Ever the good sport, rather than selling his tickets, he chose to donate the package to the Joe Burrow Hunger Relief Fund, to help combat food insecurity in Athens County and beyond. The Athens County Food Pantry and FAO are grateful for Clayton’s generosity and this “win” for the Fund!
“Having been fortunate enough to attend the last two Super Bowls with my kids, I knew that if the Chiefs were to win the game, tickets would be in high demand. My decision to buy tickets at halftime looked like a good decision at the time, until it wasn’t. When I asked the management team at Arcadia Towers, a Cincinnati-based owner, developer, and manager of communication towers, of well-regarded area charities, they immediately suggested the Joe Burrow Hunger Relief Fund. While I wish the Chiefs were in the Super Bowl once again, I’m excited to offer my support to the Joe Burrow Hunger Relief Fund,” said Clayton.
The tickets have sold. For any questions, please contact FAO at 740-753-1111.
