Mini-Grant Applications Available Through June 15
to Organizations Serving Perry County

New Lexington, OHThe Community Foundation for Perry County (CFPC) is pleased to announce its request for mini-grant proposals. CFPC invites tax-exempt organizations committed to increasing quality of life, creating access to opportunities, or implementing a solution for a need in the Perry County Community to apply.

By funding these projects, CFPC is supporting efforts to create a brighter future for Perry County beyond the current COVID-19 crisis.

“CFPC is excited to offer another mini-grant opportunity to Perry County organizations. This grant-round is all the more important this year, as Perry County’s nonprofits and public organizations work to meet a variety of new needs created by the COVID-19 pandemic,” said CFPC board member, Tony Fiore. “We are dedicated to ensuring Perry County citizens and communities have access to abundant resources and opportunities, and we are pleased to be able to support the organizations working to support our communities during this difficult time as we all work toward a brighter future.”

For this grant round, $5,000 in funding is available for projects aimed to improve the quality of life in Perry County. Projects should focus one or more of the five Pillars of Prosperity – arts and culture, community and economic development, education, environmental stewardship, and health and human services. Grant proposals should be between $500 and $1,500.

Applications will be accepted from May 4 to June 15, 2020. To receive full consideration for funding, grant requests must include a completed application and a 501(c)(3) IRS determination letter or audited financial statements. Applications are available online at www.AppalachianOhio.org/CFPC or can be submitted electronically or via mail to PO Box 456, Nelsonville, Ohio 45764. Grantees will be announced by July 15, 2020.

The Community Foundation for Perry County was established in 2012 to ensure permanent support for the citizens and communities of Perry County. A community fund of the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO), CFPC works with FAO to grow grantmaking dollars for projects that improve quality of life in Perry County and across Appalachian Ohio through the Pillars of Prosperity.

CFPC is able to provide this and previous grant rounds thanks to the generous contributions of existing donors. CFPC launched its Endow 200 campaign in 2016 to grow its annual grantmaking from $5,000 to $50,000, but CFPC needs your help to make that dream a reality. Thanks to matching funds awarded to FAO by the Ohio Legislature, $300,000 is now available to match your gifts to CFPC dollar-for-dollar. To learn more, visit www.AppalachianOhio.org/CFPC.
