Outdoor Recreation Organization Creates Endowed Fund with CFPC
to Advance Community Health
New Lexington, Ohio – The Community Foundation for Perry County (CFPC) seeks to advance Perry County projects across all areas important to quality of life – and multiple new board members and a new fund, the Ludowici Community Foundation Fund, recently joined CFPC to advance that mission.
“We are so excited to welcome four new board members, Jeanette Addington, Julie Paxton, Theressa Snyder-Cane, and Tim Sword, to the CFPC, along with a new fund dedicated to outdoor recreation,” said Community Foundation for Perry County board member, Tony Fiore. “Access to natural and recreational areas is essential to health and well-being, and the Ludowici Community Foundation Fund will help ensure that the Perry County community can enjoy the fantastic facilities managed by the Ludowici Community Foundation for generations to come.”
Established by Ludowici Roof Tile Inc. in 2014, the Ludowici Community Foundation supports the health and development of Perry County’s youth through the operation and maintenance of recreational facilities located off of Route 18 and Tile Plant Road in New Lexington. The facilities, open to the public daily and frequently used for community events, include a pond, a shelter house, hiking trails, a splash pad, a playground, and a youth baseball field.
The Ludowici Community Foundation Fund will ensure that the organization has the permanent and sustainable support it needs to maintain its recreational facilities for public use in perpetuity. The Ludowici Community Foundation Fund joins 35 other Funds in the CFPC Family of Funds at the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO), all dedicated to advancing quality of life in Perry County.
The CFPC is managed by its volunteer board, comprising veteran members Janine Conrad, Judge Luann Cooperrider, Jeff Dennis, Tony Fiore, Deb Hutmire, Mayor Tom Johnson, Tim McClain, Chris Mooney, John Winnenberg, and Kevin Wood, as well as its four new members, Jeanette Addington, Julie Paxton, Theressa Snyder-Cane, and Tim Sword.
Gifts to the Community Foundation for Perry County and the Ludowici Community Foundation Fund are tax deductible and can be made in many ways, including cash, bequests, and life insurance.
