Nearly 150 Appalachian Ohio Students Receive Support for Post-Secondary Education
Nelsonville, OH – Students throughout Appalachian Ohio know how important education is to their success. Thanks to over 50 donor-established scholarship funds at the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO), nearly 150 Appalachian Ohio students will receive scholarships to support their post-secondary education. Young adults across Appalachian Ohio will benefit from nearly $190,000 in post-secondary scholarships supporting a wide array of post-secondary studies.
Each year FAO works with donors and its volunteer Scholarship Committee to award scholarships to students pursuing varied paths of post-secondary education across the 32 counties of Appalachian Ohio. Awarded through a competitive application process, FAO partners with more than 50 donor-established scholarship funds to honor the legacy and story behind each fund and the friend or loved ones each honors.
