Nonprofit and Public Organizations in Belmont, Guernsey, Harrison, and Monroe Counties Invited to Apply

Nelsonville, OH The Gulfport Energy Fund at the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO) is pleased to announce its second call for 2015 grant applications. Projects that increase quality of life, create access to opportunities, or identify and implement a solution for a community need will be considered. Eligibility extends to tax-exempt organizations from Belmont, Guernsey, Harrison, and Monroe counties where Gulfport operates.

Proposals should leverage existing resources and seek funding for projects that might not otherwise be available. Projects with one or more of the following characteristics will be given priority:

  • Serve an entire county and are sustainable once the project has ended;
  • Leverage resources;
  • Use cross sector partnerships or collaboration; or
  • Result in opportunities or benefits for needs that may otherwise remain unfulfilled.

 

Approximately $34,000 in funding is available for awards which typically range from $500 to $2,500, though up to $10,000 may be awarded. The application opens on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 and all applications must be submitted online by Tuesday, November 17, 2015. The Foundation’s Grants Committee will review eligible applications and make funding recommendations.
