Grant Applications due November 13
Nelsonville, OH – The Chevron Community Fund will open this year’s grant application on Friday, October 16, 2015 to nonprofit organizations in Harrison and Tuscarawas Counties. The Chevron Community Fund at the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO) supports nonprofit organizations serving citizens in the Harrison and Tuscarawas communities where Chevron operates. The Fund is currently calling for grant requests from tax-exempt organizations supporting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education, workforce development, or basic human needs in these counties. “Chevron’s investment in the Harrison and Tuscarawas County communities is focused on both today’s needs as well as those of the future through support to STEM education and workforce development,” said Cara Dingus Brook, president and CEO of the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio. “We are excited to partner with Chevron to make a difference in the communities where it operates.”
Applications will be accepted from October 16, 2015 until November 13, 2015 for projects focused primarily on STEM education or workforce development. Projects involving basic human needs may also be considered. Typical grant awards will range from $1,000 to $5,000. Grant awards will be announced no later than December 15, 2015.
