One of FAO’s regional partners, the Appalachian Partnership for Economic Growth (APEG) – a subsidiary of the Ohio Appalachian Business Council, is searching for a President and Chief Executive Officer to lead APEG’s start-up. APEG is the first business-driven, regional economic development organization created specifically to focus on business attraction, retention, and organic economic growth in Appalachian Ohio. The Opportunity Profile for this position can be found on FAO’s Career Opportunities page.

This opportunity profile as well as APEG’s strategic plan for moving forward were created after the Ohio Appalachian Business Council hosted a series of listening sessions in Cambridge, Marietta, and Waverly in December to begin its work to develop APEG, its subsidiary, as an economic development organization for the region. These sessions were an opportunity for the group to gather diverse perspectives on how to best develop the JobsOhio-funded APEG while ensuring a broader and longer-term view of economic development and the growth of regional capacity. More information, including a memo outlining the themes that emerged from these listening session, can be found under Regional Partnerships.
