Bellisio Foods Scholarship Announces Additional

Funding for Students Pursuing Post-Secondary Degrees

and Certificates

Postmark Deadline of February 17th, 2012

Nelsonville, OH – The Bellisio Foods Scholarship is announcing an additional round of scholarship funding to support students pursuing post-secondary education. Available to children and grandchildren of Bellisio Foods employees pursuing studies at a technical and trade school, community college or undergraduate university studies, the Bellisio Foods Scholarship is open to students beginning their studies as well as those already working on a degree or certificate.

Bellisio Foods has a large facility in Jackson, Ohio, that currently employs 1,200 people. In August 2007, the scholarship fund was established at the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO) in honor of Bellisio Foods founder Jeno Paulucci. A successful entrepreneur who launched his first food business in the 1950s, Mr. Paulucci passed away in November. Mr. Paulucci was an innovator in prepared and frozen foods and led his company to become an international leader in frozen food manufacturing.

“The Foundation is honored to support Jeno Paulucci’s legacy through the Bellisio Foods Scholarship Fund,” said Cara Dingus Brook, FAO President and CEO. “The scholarships awarded to students through this Fund are vital to ensuring today’s students have the opportunity to develop their skills and explore their passions. They are a tribute to Mr. Paulucci’s dedication to community and education.”

Students who are pursuing or planning to pursue, full-time or part-time, a post-secondary degree or certification at an accredited institution should visit the FAO website to learn more about scholarship guidelines and to apply for funding. Information about the Bellisio Foods Scholarship Fund can be found through the Scholarships tab on FAO’s website at www.fao.local. Applications must be postmarked by February 17th, 2012.

Each year, the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio offers scholarship opportunities to students across the 32 counties of Appalachian Ohio in partnership with its donors to provide the educational opportunities needed for success to the children of Appalachia. For additional information on FAO scholarships, or to learn more about how you can contribute to scholarship resources, please visit FAO’s website at www.fao.local or call 740-753-1111.
