Nelsonville, OH – Ohio CAT, the exclusive, authorized dealer for Caterpillar equipment and engines throughout Ohio, Northern Kentucky, and Southeastern Indiana, has joined the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio’s ICAN! Corporate Partnership with a gift of $250,000 over the next five years. Ohio CAT’s gift will support the Foundation and its efforts to ensure every child in Appalachian Ohio has access to the educational opportunities needed for success. Ken Taylor, Ohio CAT President, shared the news with an announcement at the Foundation’s annual I’m a Child of Appalachia® Celebration.

“Ohio CAT recognizes the significant work of the Foundation to enable our region’s youth to access opportunities for success,” said Ken Taylor. “We hope other corporations will follow in our footsteps and join the ICAN! Corporate Partnership to provide the resources needed to ensure no child of Appalachia faces barriers to post-secondary pursuits.”

An extension of the Foundation’s signature I’m a Child of Appalachia campaign, the ICAN! Corporate Partnership provides business members of the I’m a Child of Appalachia Network® the opportunity to invest in building FAO’s capacity to create educational and quality of life opportunities now and in the future. Ohio CAT joins the ranks of other ICAN! Corporate Partners who have committed to collaboratively enhancing available educational opportunities and raising the region’s levels of educational attainment. Current partners include American Electric Power, AK Steel, Tata, Duke Energy, Oxford Mining, McNational, Inc., Grange Insurance, Diagnostic Hybrids, WesBanco, the Graham Family, Peoples Bank and Walmart.
