Topics for the workshop included Booth Design, Wholesale and Retail Markets, Effective Jury Slides, Pricing, and Promotion Power and more.  Several topics were taught more than once to allow participants to take full advantage of the curriculum.  The workshop was presented by the Arts Business Institute (ABI), a professional, nonprofit training organization that focuses on product development, pricing, public relations, sales techniques, wholesaling and much more.

According to the sponsors of the Institute, 117 participants registered for the event? the highest number ever enrolled in any ABI held for the first time in a geographic area, said ABI Director, Alisha Vincent .  Faculty received a standing ovation at the close of the conference and members of the regional steering committee who had worked to bring the ABI to the region said that discussions had already begun about making the ABI an annual event in Appalachian Ohio. Said artist Theresa More of Malta about the event.
