March 4th was the big dayfor the Foundation’s reverse raffle drawing for a cash prize andbeautiful artwork contributed by regional artists and Foundationsupporters. Jill Thompson, Athens County Auditor, generouslyagreed to serve as our official “ticket drawer” and pull from among thelarge pool of tickets purchased by hopeful friends of the Foundation asparticipants in the Foundation’s charity fundraiser. FAO Chair of Trustees, Marianne Campbell was present, joined by her husband Bill Campbell, as was Ron Strickmaker, Vice Chairman of FAO, and trustee Vic Shaffer, also joined by his spouse, Janet Shaffer. Leslie Lilly, FAO President and CEOof the Foundation, completed the assembly for this exciting event.Though the ticket threshold required to reach $25,000 grand prize wasnot reached, the final dollar amount for the grand prize was, however,$10,000 – a tidy sum.
