The Harrison County Community Foundation (HCCF) and the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio are partnering with COSI and local businesses to bring a science and career exploration program to Harrison Central eighth-grade students.
The COSI roadshow pilot is designed to spark children’s excitement for science-based learning and increase their awareness of local career pathways through hands-on learning in science, technology, engineering, math and medicine. The event will focus on topics relevant to local, in-demand careers and credentials to inform youth about new career opportunities and help meet future workforce needs specific to local communities and employers.
The Harrison County event is being hosted by HCCF in partnership with Comcast, G&S Swine, the Harrison County Health Department, Interstate Waste Services, WVU Medicine and other local employers.
