Free community gathering and fund update to be held July 15

SARDIS, Ohio – The Monroe County Community Foundation (MCCF) is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a community gathering and fund update Monday, July 15, at the Sardis Community Center.

The event is free and open to all. The festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres and time to socialize, followed by the fund update at 7 p.m.

“We are excited to bring our community together to celebrate all those who have joined us on our journey to build an even stronger Monroe County and to welcome those who are eager to learn more about our mission,” said Nikki Baker-Lude, an MCCF committee member. “We operate under the motto, ‘Give where you live.’ And one gift and one giver at a time, we are making a difference for the communities we cherish.”

Four community members established MCCF, a geographic affiliate of the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO), in 2014 as a way for anyone with a heart for Monroe County to support its people and communities, now and for years to come. Today, MCCF stewards more than 40 donor-established funds – all working together to fill Monroe County’s greatest needs and seize its most promising opportunities.
