Funding available for nonprofits, schools and public organizations serving Guernsey County
CAMBRIDGE, Ohio – The Guernsey County Foundation, in partnership with the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO), is accepting grant applications from nonprofits, schools and public organizations for projects and programs benefiting the people and communities of Guernsey County.
The 2025 application period for grant funding opens July 29 and closes Sept. 9.
The Guernsey County Foundation will award grants that advance opportunities across five funding areas: arts and culture, community and economic development, education, environmental stewardship, and health and human services. Emphasis is on supporting individuals of all ages who are spearheading projects and programs that create opportunities, meet pressing needs and unleash the potential within Guernsey County.
Funding requests should be between $500 and $10,000, but larger requests may be considered based on potential impact. Additional information and the 2025 grant application are available at https://appalachianohio.org/guernsey/opportunities/grant-opportunities/.
Each year, earnings from charitable giving to the Guernsey County Foundation’s endowment fund are reinvested in Guernsey County through grants that meet the county’s greatest needs and most promising opportunities. In 2024, the Guernsey County Foundation, one of FAO’s 15 affiliate foundation partners, awarded 17 grants totaling nearly $65,000 to organizations serving Guernsey County.
