More than $24,000 awarded to support projects, programs benefiting Gallia County

GALLIPOLIS, Ohio – The Gallia Community Foundation (GCF), in partnership with the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO), has awarded 10 grants, totaling $24,191, to support projects and programs benefiting the county’s residents and communities.

“We are thrilled to provide funding to those who give their time and talent in service to the people and communities of Gallia County,” said Arun Sharma, GCF committee member. “These grants are a gift from Gallia Community Foundation supporters and a reflection of our shared commitment to the well-being of all who call our county home, today and for years to come.”

Nonprofits, schools and public organizations serving Gallia County were invited to apply for grants to advance opportunities across five areas essential to flourishing communities: arts and culture, community and economic development, education, environmental stewardship, and health and human services. Emphasis is on supporting individuals of all ages who are spearheading projects and programs that create opportunities, meet pressing needs and unleash the collective potential within Gallia County.
