Making a difference since 2012

The Community Foundation for Perry County (CFPC) was established in 2012 by individuals dedicated to elevating the quality of life for the people of Perry County by growing charitable giving. Our goal is to establish permanent charitable resources that provide continuous investment in Perry County communities.

In celebration of Perry County’s 200th birthday, we launched our Endow 200 campaign with a goal of growing our endowment to $1 million – providing dollars that will be invested in the community in perpetuity. In 2022, our 10th anniversary year, we reached that long-awaited milestone, thanks to many who have given in support of Perry County.

We also piloted an innovative and growing campaign in Appalachian Ohio that brings together local residents and businesses to help our neighbors facing food insecurity. Known as “Fill the Freezer,” the campaign invites buyers at the Perry County Fair’s livestock sale to donate their hog purchases to fill the freezers of the county’s food pantries and fight hunger – one pig at a time.

Together with our donors and partners, we advance opportunities across five funding areas, known as our Pillars of Prosperity.
