With a common goal of ensuring our region is abundant in possibility for all who call our communities home, we partner with donors, doers and FAO to invest in three program areas that provide funding to local nonprofit and public organizations, students and community builders.

With the support of our donors and in partnership with FAO, we award grants annually to Black-led and Black-serving nonprofit and public organizations for projects and programs that create opportunities and meet needs.
Scholarships
Investing in students
FAO’s scholarship program is made possible by donors who believe supporting the educational and career goals of our region’s students plays a vital role in the well-being of our people and communities.
Fellowships
Uplifting the work and visions of local leaders
FAO’s fellowship program, working in partnership with its affiliate foundations, provides support to individual leaders with a goal of growing their impact from one community to many.
