Statoil Monroe County Energy Fund Issues Its Fifth Call for Grant Applications in Monroe County

The Statoil Monroe County Energy Fund was created in 2014 to support nonprofit organizations serving the citizens of Monroe County, Ohio, where Statoil operates. The Fund, established at the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO), is currently accepting grant request proposals. Tax-exempt organizations, as well as those organizations and initiatives partnering with a tax-exempt fiscal agent, serving Monroe County are invited to apply by visiting the Statoil Energy Fund webpage at www.AppalachianOhio.org/Statoil.

The Statoil Monroe County Energy Fund focuses on projects that increase quality of life, create access to opportunities, or identify and implement a solution for a community need or issue. Statoil welcomes projects that focus on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education or workforce and economic development. Additional details regarding funding priorities can be found on the grant application.

Applications for the Statoil Monroe County Energy Fund can be submitted on a rolling basis and awards will be made quarterly. Applications submitted on or before September 21, 2015 will be included in the current quarter’s grant review. Those applications submitted after September 21 will be considered during the final 2015 grant review. The final 2015 grant review will consider applications submitted before December 7, 2015. Typical grant awards range from $500 to $5,000.
