$10,000 awarded to support projects, programs benefiting Noble County

CALDWELL, Ohio – The Noble County Community Foundation (NCCF), in partnership with the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO) and with support from Encino Energy, has awarded five grants, totaling $10,000, to support projects and programs benefiting the county’s residents and communities.

“These grants are an investment in the present and future well-being of Noble County and its residents,” said Shawn Ray, NCCF committee member. “By bringing together donors and doers committed to our communities, we are building a better today and even brighter tomorrow.”

Nonprofits, schools and public organizations serving Noble County were invited to apply for grants to advance opportunities across five areas essential to flourishing communities: arts and culture, community and economic development, education, environmental stewardship, and health and human services. Emphasis is on supporting individuals of all ages who are spearheading projects and programs that create opportunities, meet pressing needs and unleash the collective potential within Noble County.

Grants were awarded to:

  • Caldwell Exempted Village School District to purchase a 3D printer for seventh- and eighth-grade classroom instruction, in partnership with the Appalachian Ohio Manufacturers’ Coalition
  • Lutheran Social Services to purchase food for food pantry distributions in Noble County
  • Memorial Health Foundation to purchase an emergency battery backup power system for the medication refrigerators at the Primary Care Caldwell Health Clinic
  • Shenandoah Band Club to purchase raincoats for the Shenandoah Marching Band
  • The Wilds to support the expansion of “Into the Wilds,” a three-part educational program for fourth-grade students, into Noble County

NCCF, one of FAO’s 15 affiliate foundation partners, was established in 2005 to develop and grow permanent charitable resources that provide continuous investment in Noble County and its nonprofits, schools and communities.
