iBELIEVE Foundation Fund to Host 2nd Annual Ohio Valley Benefit Dinner

John Jenkins to be honored as 2013 iGIVE Honoree

Nelsonville, OH – It is essential to invest in the future leadership of Appalachian Ohio. The iBELIEVE Foundation Fund, held within the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio, ensures Appalachian Ohio’s youth are prepared to become leaders in their schools and, most importantly, in their communities. On October 24, the iBELIEVE Foundation will host its second annual Ohio Valley Dinner Event, Courage, Commitment, and Cocktails, to support their work with the region’s youth.

The iBELIEVE Foundation’s goal is to provide students with the leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills they need to be successful and to give them a better understanding of their personal strength and weaknesses to enable them to become better students, leaders, and friends. The iBELIEVE Foundation Fund provides scholarship support to enable high school student participation in the Ohio Association of Student Councils (OASC) summer leadership camp. Participating in this camp enables students to gain the necessary soft skills and leadership training critical to current and future success.

The dinner will be held at the Belmont Hills Country Club in St. Clairsville, Ohio on October 24 beginning at 6PM. The event will feature cocktails, a casual dinner, and both silent and LIVE auctions in an effort to raise funds to support students in leadership activities.  John Jenkins, owner of Jenkins Sporting Goods in St. Clairsville, will be celebrated as the 2013 iGIVE Honoree for his countless contributions to the Ohio Valley community.

“We’re very excited to return to the Valley to host another benefit dinner,” said Chris Dutton, Associate Director of the iBELIEVE Foundation. “Because last year’s dinner was such a huge success, we were able to send about 40 students to leadership camp in both Ohio and West Virginia.”  Dutton said the early response has been very positive and the group hopes to double the funds raised from last year.

Individual tickets and table sponsorships are now available for purchase. For more information, contact Christopher Dutton, Associate Director of the iBELIEVE Foundation, by calling 740-359-4426 or by emailing cgdutton@gmail.com.
