{"id":302,"date":"2024-12-16T18:03:30","date_gmt":"2024-12-16T18:03:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/appalachianohio.org\/guernsey\/?p=302"},"modified":"2024-12-16T18:03:31","modified_gmt":"2024-12-16T18:03:31","slug":"guernsey-county-foundation-announces-2024-grant-recipients","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/appalachianohio.org\/guernsey\/2024\/12\/16\/guernsey-county-foundation-announces-2024-grant-recipients\/","title":{"rendered":"Guernsey County Foundation announces 2024 grant recipients"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Nearly $65,000 awarded to support projects, programs benefiting Guernsey County<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CAMBRIDGE, Ohio<\/strong> \u2013 The Guernsey County Foundation, in partnership with the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO) and with support from Encino Energy, has awarded 17 grants, totaling $64,751, to support projects and programs benefiting the county\u2019s residents and communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis funding is the latest chapter in our journey to support our neighbors and our communities in ways that will be seen today and felt for years to come,\u201d said Dave Wilson, Guernsey County Foundation committee member. \u201cWe are incredibly grateful for the donors who make these grants possible and the doers who turn donor generosity into opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nonprofits, schools and public organizations serving Guernsey County were invited to apply for grants to advance opportunities across five areas essential to flourishing communities: arts and culture, community and economic development, education, environmental stewardship, and health and human services.
