Friends of East Guernsey Education Fund
The Friends of East Guernsey Education Fund was created to support academic and cultural opportunities for students and teachers of the East Guernsey Local School District not otherwise available. A part of the Guernsey County Foundation Family of Funds, the educational fund will provide grant support to educators in East Guernsey so they can provide their students with new projects, lessons, and experiences.
“This Fund will support our commitment to and passion for East Guernsey’s students and teachers,” said Cindy Bond and Amy Patterson representatives of the new Friends of East Guernsey Education Fund. “Our goal is for this fund to provide support to teachers to explore creative ways of engaging students.”
With the creation of the Friends of East Guernsey Education Fund, every school district in Guernsey County now has support from a philanthropic fund. These funds not only give teachers and students a new source of support, but offers citizens interested in supporting education a new way to give.
“There is no better way to invest in Guernsey County than to invest in our students’ education,” said David Caldwell, trustee of the Guernsey County Foundation. “With funds representing all of Guernsey’s school districts, it is now much easier for anyone wanting to support teachers and students to do so.”
