The Batavia Local School District established the Batavia School Foundation Fund at the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio in 2015, creating a powerful – and permanent – resource for academic and educational opportunities.
Gifts to the fund support academic and cultural opportunities, such as field trips and educational programs, that enhance students’ scholastic experiences and will provide long-term support for the school district for generations.
A local advisory committee awards grants from the fund based on applications submitted from within the school district. Committee members include Connie Bare, Karen Baumann, Barb Bruner, Molly Cribbet, Tyler Hawk, Glenda Neff, Scott Runck, Jennifer Stewart, Larry Vaughn and Mary Jane West.

Gifts to the Batavia School Foundation Fund are tax-deductible and can be made in many ways, including cash, bequests, stock, real estate, royalties, insurance beneficiaries and qualified charitable distributions from IRAs.
