{"id":450,"date":"2025-04-29T08:57:03","date_gmt":"2025-04-29T12:57:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/appalachianohio.org\/aacf\/?p=450"},"modified":"2025-04-29T08:57:05","modified_gmt":"2025-04-29T12:57:05","slug":"african-american-community-fund-accepting-2025-grant-applications","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/appalachianohio.org\/aacf\/2025\/04\/african-american-community-fund-accepting-2025-grant-applications\/","title":{"rendered":"African American Community Fund accepting 2025 grant applications"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Funding available for Black-led, Black-serving organizations in Appalachian Ohio<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>NELSONVILLE, Ohio<\/strong> \u2013 The African American Community Fund (AACF), in partnership with the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio (FAO), is accepting grant applications from Black-led and Black-serving nonprofit and public organizations serving Appalachian Ohio\u2019s 32 counties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 2025 application period for grant funding opens April 29 and closes June 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AACF will award grants that advance opportunities across five funding areas: arts and culture, community and economic development, education, environmental stewardship, and health and human services. Emphasis is on supporting individuals of all ages who are spearheading projects and programs that create opportunities, meet pressing needs and unleash the potential within Appalachian Ohio\u2019s African American community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Funding requests should be between $500 and $5,000, but larger requests may be considered based on potential impact.
